TQUK Level 3 Award in Supporting Children and Young People with Autism (RQF) V10

Occupational Profile  

The purpose of this qualification is to provide continuous professional development (CPD) for teaching and support staff who work with children and young people on the autism spectrum.

The qualification develops the knowledge and skills required to provide a suitable learning environment and to develop and use strategies to support learning and development.

Course Overview and Structure

Learners must achieve seven credits from the mandatory unit. Supporting Children and Young People on the autism spectrum.

Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:

 

  • TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF)
  • TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF)
  • TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Learning Support (RQF)”

Entry Requirements

Learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent and must be in a

  • work role which includes responsibility for supporting the learning of one or more child or young person on the autism spectrum.

The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.

Duration

  • 40 Guided Learning hours
  • These hours are made up of all contact time, guidance, or supervision of a learner by a lecturer, supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate provider of education or training
